A note about funding information

Global Innovation Exchange is an informational and editorial resource. Site content is not a funding offer, professional advice, endorsement or guarantee of eligibility, selection or results.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should stop using the site. These terms apply to visitors, registered users and anyone submitting information through an available site pathway.

You must have the legal capacity and authority required for your use of the site. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

2. Purpose and scope

The site publishes region-aware material concerning funding approaches, public capacity, financial durability and equitable access in inclusive urban sanitation. It may also provide account registration and a pathway through which registered users can add information about an innovation.

Descriptions of programmes, approaches or innovations are supplied for general information. They should be assessed against applicable law, technical evidence, public-health requirements, environmental conditions and local needs.

3. Accounts and access

Some functions may require registration or sign-in. When using an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep access credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you believe the account has been used without permission.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law. Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary to protect the site, other users or submitted information, or to address a breach of these terms.

4. Innovation submissions

You remain responsible for material you submit. You confirm that the material is accurate to the best of your knowledge, does not infringe another party’s rights and can lawfully be provided and processed for the site’s editorial and informational purposes.

By submitting material, you grant Global Innovation Exchange a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free permission to store, review, format, reproduce and display that material as needed to operate and maintain the site. This permission does not transfer ownership of your material.

A submission may be edited for clarity, declined, removed or left unpublished. Submission, account creation or publication does not imply verification, endorsement, partnership, funding or approval.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site for unlawful, deceptive or harmful activity;
  • submit material you do not have permission to provide;
  • attempt to bypass access controls or interfere with site security or operation;
  • introduce malicious code or use automated requests in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the service;
  • misrepresent your identity, affiliation, eligibility or the performance of an innovation; or
  • copy or reuse site material in a way that infringes applicable rights.

6. Editorial content and reliance

We aim to present material clearly and responsibly, but information may be incomplete, become outdated or contain errors. Regional observations are general and do not replace city-level assessment. You should independently verify material before making financial, operational, legal, technical, health or policy decisions.

Unless otherwise stated, the site’s selection, arrangement and original editorial material may not be reproduced beyond uses permitted by applicable law without prior permission. Names and materials included in user submissions remain subject to their respective rights.

7. Site availability

We may maintain, update, restrict or discontinue site features where reasonably necessary. Continuous, uninterrupted or error-free access is not guaranteed. Account and submission functions may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or technical changes.

Where the site refers to information maintained by another institution, that institution remains responsible for its own material and processes. Users should confirm opportunities and requirements directly with the relevant issuing institution.

8. Limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees concerning completeness, accuracy, availability or suitability for a particular purpose.

Global Innovation Exchange is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on general site content, or for losses resulting from circumstances outside reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be prohibited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised to reflect changes in site functions, editorial practices or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means the revised terms apply to subsequent use.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive it.

10. Questions and notices

Questions about these terms, requests concerning submitted material and notices about suspected misuse can be sent to the site’s published email address below. Please include enough information for the request to be reviewed without including unnecessary confidential material.
